President Yoweri Museveni has blamed the United Nations and the International Community for messing up the Democratic Republic of Congo by failing to address the cause of the problem.
“The problem in Congo is not Rwanda. It is internal. Congo has been messed up by the United Nations and other international players”, he said.
The president made the remarks while meeting a delegation from president Obama on the sidelines of the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa yesterday.
He was, however, optimistic that Congolese problems can easily be solved through the regional organization, the Great Lakes Region, which will have a conference in Kampala next month.
On Somalia, President Museveni noted that AMISON has done its role. The implementation of the roadmap is a matter for the Somali people. President Museveni assured the American delegation that Kony will be sorted out soon.
The President said that the Lord’s Resistance Army is surviving because it split itself into small groups which are not easy to detect but this will also be overcome.
