La reine Baramparaye est morte dimanche le 11 février 2007 à l'âge de 80 ans. Elle était née en 1927. Marié au roi Mwambutsa IV Bangiricenge en 1945, la reine Baramparaye n'avait que 18 ans.
Et pour rappel le Roi Mwambutsa IV Bangiricenge avait été aux destinés du Burundi depuis 1915 jusqu'en 1966. Sa dépouille mortelle sera inhumée à Gitega en date du 20 février 2007 précise nos sources d'informations.
